Cute joke, sucessful plan... and Mal gonna try to convince the girl beside him to show him her answers.

Among the way they cheated, I still believe Dosu way of cheating was unbelievable. And I dont remember how the rest of the sound trio did it as well.

The main reason I accepted Dosu's mode of cheating is because his character design indicated he was an expert on the minute differences between sounds. For example, the PIN pad on ATMs and other related machines have distinct tones for each number. I can't tell you what each one sounds like, but I know there are people who could. Combine that more simple technique with things like good old Card Counting in the gambling world, and you can pretty easily generate the explanation of a character copying answers based on the sound of each scratch of the pencil. He probably didn't get his answers exactly right, but he probably also listened long enough to develop a base reading of his target's writing before proceeding. Assuming he spent most of his young life working on this style as many of these shinobi apparently have, he would more than likely be able to quickly tell sounds apart, and what the sounds are.

This is also assuming that Dosu has probably already done this kind of thing in the field before. Being a member of the recently formed Sound Village, I'm also betting he got little else taught to him until he was good enough to please Orochimaru's expectations.

Also, really loving the story there. I've never heard that one before, but there's a part of me wishing I had. I think I would be more mindful of my wording if I had that lesson much earlier in my life.
