Team 10 gets a really strong showing in their first outing.

Problem is, they're stuck in a Shonen Manga, where one-on-one fights are the name of the game, and their specialty is working off of one another.

Doesn't help that most shonen anime centers around rivalry or progressive enemy scaling. As in Rival based chiefly only the main a select group around him limited to MAIN cast and rival characters (who could be main cast) experience real growth. Where with enemy scaling the main character and main rival and such come to outpace everyone and make anyone but them obsolete except as a cheering section.

Yeah. Dragonball has been going on and off for about 30 years and just now it started talking about fighting in teams.

I would love to read a shonen where 9/10 of all fights are team ups, with the main characters even making fun of folks who prefer one v one.

Try a Shounen Sports manga like Prince of Tennis or Eyeshield 21 then.

Prince of Tennis is full of one on one...

Prince of Tennis shows great Singles play and Doubles play. In addition, the tournaments are most definitely team competitions.

It may not be a manga, but have you tried the web series RWBY?
