Beware the silly ones. Any GM worth their salt will make them ridiculously powerful.

In one instance the silly ones are so powerful because if they weren't then the silly would have been beaten out of them. In another they're powerful because the mocking and jabs led them down the path of the evulz.

Pretty much.

Probably due to bias - I was the GM for this one - but my favorite was Hobo Dan. Or was it Hobo Dave? Heh, yeah it is bad I don't remember but whatever his name was, he was inspired by a character with the other name.

It was a GURPS 3e game from 20 years ago. Supers, though with a little (or a lot) of everything else tossed in. GURPS has a thing called an "Unusual Background" which lets you add a cost in case something is better than expected in your setting.

Hobo Dan's player agreed to run a total Amnesiac character, which meant I (as the GM) got to design him. I decided to reward him in an unusual manner; while his character had low stats and only one Advantage, that Advantage was Invulnerability to Kinetic Damage. GURPS 4th Edition doesn't have that one anymore, because its "broken". XP

Unfortunately, the game ended not too much longer after. Actually, it may have been fortunate. Don't want to get into details, but I was a jackass and it ended up ruining things. =/
