Death is an interesting thing in RPG's. In a system where revival can be easy, and making a new character doesn't take a huge amount of effort, players can develop a somewhat cavalier approach toward death.

And then there are the people that take it very seriously.

No, we don't want a non-OP! We want you hilariously broken!

I've got a couple hideously broken characters that got put on a bus for being way too unbalanced for the current party, I can't wait for my dm to bring them back as a villain to screw me over...

Ah, those moments when you can achieve a fair and balanced game set-up and even have some dramatic story-telling and character work in the process...

But to get it means letting yourself lose. And we just can't have that can we?

That said though, in the Bleach of the Gods campaign there was, for a time, a player who changed characters SEVERAL times. A version of this was used to remove one of his characters from the game. The guy didn't die, but reanimated super powered Vlad the Impaler did tear off an arm and a leg...

PC's don't leave PC's to die.

In my experience, they do if there's loot, or XP, or something interesting to look at.

Pfff. The words 'you can't beat him' have been invoked. Beyond loot, beyond XP, there is bragging rights and proving the GM wrong.

Unless they're dicks... In which case they do leave PCs to die, and laugh like hyenas while it happens...

okay, since you probably didn't notice my critique a few pages back I'll repeat the most important bit here.

Speech bubble tails, don't drag 'em all the way to the mouth, yo! All they have to do is indicate who it is speaking, and when there's only one person in the panel, that pretty easy. they DEFINITELY don't need to cut through the person in question or large chunks of the panel (the first panel has a little of both) for the sole purpose of starting directly at the mouth.

oh, and would you do me a favor and reply to this to let me know you've seen it? if you don't I'll probably think you haven't seen it and just end up repeating myself further down the road.

I did notice, and you will see me take your advice to heart soon enough. However, I'm actually a couple weeks ahead of myself. This comic was made before that post was, and I'm still using MS Paint for speed, so editing isn't much of an option. Please bear with me, even I don't quite like how this page turned out.
