The solution is always Fireball. Even against enemies who are immune to fire. You just aren't Fireball-ing hard enough.

I mean, in 3.5 D&D, there was two ways to be able to do half damage on your fire spells, and one way to completely ignore resistance. Granted, only one of the half damage ways (searing spell metamagic) had you still doing actual fire damage, instead of just converting it to raw divine power (sanctified one of Kord and some metamagic feat I can't be arsed to look up)
